Lots of people are surely preparing for the Civil Service exams that are set to be administered in 2019. The CSC conducts several eligibility and non-eligibility exams annually. Each usually gathers lots of takers. The Civil Service Examination (CSE) is open to anyone as long as you follow the certain requirements required for the application.
The exam is being hold twice a year. So, you have a lot of time to be prepared and accomplish all the requirements needed.
Who can take the civil service exam?
Note: The civil service exam didn’t require educational attainment. Even if you’re a high school graduate or college undergraduate, you can apply for CSE.
Applicants must submit the following requirements:
Applicants who will take the computerized exam need not submit ID photos, as their picture will be taken during their personal appearance at a CSC office. The CSC may ask for additional requirements, such as NSO birth certificate (both original and photocopy) if your ID doesn’t indicate your birthdate. Dual citizens must submit a Bureau of Immigration-issued Certification of Retention/Re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship.

Where to File Application?
Applicants must personally file their applications at the CSC Regional Office (CSC RO), or at any of the CSC RO’s Field Offices, where they intend to take the examination. Do it as early as possible, as the CSC office accepts only a limited number of applicants. Slots may get filled even before the deadline of application.

What to wear?
You should wear a proper attire when you go to the CSC office. SLEEVELESS SHIRT/BLOUSE, SHORTS/SHORT PANTS, and SLIPPERS are NOT allowed.

- Filipino citizen
- At least 18 years old during filing of the application
- No conviction of a crime involving civil service examination irregularity, illegal drugs, immoral conduct, dishonesty, or drunkenness
- No dismissal from military or government service
- Never taken the same level of civil service exam (either via PPT or COMEX) within three months prior to the examination date

- Fully accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100, Revised September 2016, downloadable from the CSC website).
- Four (4) pieces of recently taken (not more than three months ago) passport sized (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) I.D. pictures in white background, showing the applicant’s bare face (without eye glasses or any accessory that may cover facial features), and with handwritten name tag legibly showing the applicant’s signature over printed full name.
- Original and photocopy of any of the following valid I.D. cards: Driver’s License/Temporary Driver’s License, Passport, PRC License, SSS I.D., GSIS I.D. (UMID), Voter’s I.D/Certification, BIR/Taxpayer’s I.D., PhilHealth I.D., current Company/Office I.D., School I.D., Police Clearance/ Police Clearance Certificate, Postal I.D., Barangay I.D., NBI Clearance, Seaman’s Book, HDMF Transaction I.D., PWD I.D., Solo Parent I.D., Senior Citizen’s I.D., Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-CARD), and CSC Eligibility Card.
- If the I.D. card does not indicate date of birth, original and photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority, or the Local Civil Registry printed on security paper must be presented.

- Pencil (Mongol no.1 and 2, recommended) and eraser
- Black ballpen
- Valid IDs – (Note: The NO I.D., NO EXAMINATION Rule is strictly implemented.)
- Notice of School Assignment generated thru ONSA (if available)
- Water, or preferred beverage (except alcoholic beverage) placed in clear/transparent container, and/or candies/biscuits, which shall be subject to inspection by the Room Examiner/Proctor.
